Habitat Congress 2019 brought together more than two hundred professionals from the Habitat industries (furniture value chain) on October 17 in Valencia.

The shift of the industrial paradigm towards the digitalization of processes and the servitization of products and the relationship with customers was the central theme of this edition’s program.

Habitat Congress celebrated its third edition with the focus on the digitalization of the industry, both in its productive aspects and in its market orientation where the creation of value through interaction with customers is increasingly important.

Habitat Congress addressed these issues from a strategic perspective, without forgetting that the uncertainty that in 2020 loomsover the economic situation. Habitat Congress showed several examples of how business models are transformed in the digital context. The participation of the clients in the definition of the offer is critical in the current times.

The digital paradigm in the industry implies understanding the new possibilities of technology and putting them at the service of production and market processes. It is to highlight the presentation of the NIMBLE B2B marketplace by Jorge García, Director of Operations of MICUNA, with a Live Demo of the Furniture Manufacturing Platform (FMP) showing how to upload catalogs, technical documentation, search for products/services, platform analytics… and how to start business negotiations in a very easy way.

The event is able to combine companies, associations and sector federations, the Valencian administration and AIDIMME, the Technological Institute, in a single forum, with the aim of understanding the changes in the competitive environment and generating a joint vision on the future of the sector. Some sectorial associations, like FEVAMA, sponsor the event with the support of the Generalitat Valenciana through the program of support for the industrial sectors. AIDIMME directs the technical contents and the organization of the Habitat Congress, which also has the necessary support of Feria Valencia.
