Two NIMBLE research papers. One award at I-ESA 2018 in Berlin.

Two NIMBLE research papers have been presented at the 9th International Conference on Interoperability for Enterprise Systems and Applications (I-ESA 2018), in Berlin, 22-23. March 2018.

The paper “Cybersecurity Requirements for Supporting Enterprise Interoperability of Multi-Sided Platforms” presents our approach to capturing security aspects related to business rules and constraints of NIMBLE Multi-Sided Platform (MSP). We design the MSPs Privacy Requirements Framework and the MSPs Security Architecture, in order to cater for specific use case-centric and platform-centric cybersecurity requirements. To ensure compliance with the upcoming GDPR, we discuss the mapping between elicited cybersecurity platform requirements and GDPR rules. The paper has been presented by Violeta Damjanovic-Behrendt (Salzburg Research).

The paper “An Ontology Framework for Multisided Platform Interoperability” presents our approach to ontology-based enterprise interoperation that involves two core ontology modules: the Catalogue Ontology and the Business Process Ontology. For the representation of certain business aspects, the Catalogue Ontology exploits the Universal Business Language (UBL), while for the description of product characteristics related to different domains, the ontology makes use of the relevant industrial standards. The Business Process Ontology encompasses machine readable vocabularies for the semantic description of business processes, and could be extended by adding new ontologies or data schemas. The paper has been presented by Quan Deng from BIBA (Bremer Institut für Produktion und Logistik GmbH) and won The Most Innovative Solution Award. Here is the complete list of the paper authors: Q.
